Shamcey wins; trike driver shines

Shamcey Supsup, 24, a Magna Cum Laude from the College of Architecture, University of the Philippines-Diliman, and Topnotcher at the 2010 Licensure Board Examinations for Architects, wins the most-coveted title, Miss Universe-Philippines 2011, Sunday night at the Araneta Coliseum.
Supsup took home three special awards, namely: Miss Talent, Miss Philippine Airlines and Miss Creamsilk.
She bested 39 other candidates who included Dianne Necio, Miss International-Philippines 2011; Isabella Manjon, Miss Philippines-Tourism 2011; runners-up Janine Tugonon and Mary Jean Lastimosa.
This pageant has attracted high-caliber candidates that this batch is considered to be the strongest in the history of Binibining Pilipinas.

However, during the Coronation Night, an 18-year old poor girl from Bulacan, and probably the most beautiful tricycle driver in the world, won the hearts of the crowd and the viewers the world over. She's Luzelle Felipe, candidate number 23, who won the Reader's Choice Award and the Best in Long Gown. I think she will one day win a crown.
Watch the Long Gown Competition and be mesmerized by Ms Felipe who said: "I am here in this pageant because of my dreams, fighting for my family." Awww.
Shamcey Supsup, on the other hand, is a stunner in person who was splendid and elegant in her gown. She would share her thoughts on beauty: "The standard of beauty is not definite. We define it."
